James Turk - no resistance as Silver nears uncharted territory
James Turk : we almost touched $50 /oz silver in Asia , then we backed off a little bit , the markets today are closed in Europe for the 4 days Easter holiday so it will be interesting to see what happens when they come back tomorrow , given the amount of the buying power that we are seeing in the market you have to assume that we will be seeing higher prices in the weeks ahead , once we are over $50/oz there is no resistance as the way I see it says James Turk , go back and look at the DOW when we went over a thousand back in 1982 it just kept going and going and going , the same thing could be happening here with silver for the next couple of years , because the supply /demand picture is very good and everybody knows the problems with the US dollar ...silver is still a cheap form of gold on historical averages and that's attracting a lot of people into the market ...

Peter Schiff Silver is Unstoppable
Is there anything that can stop silver's ballistic rise? The precious metal flirted near the $50 mark yesterday. Peter Schiff, of Euro Pacific Capital gives his insight .
Peter Schiff : if you look at the amount of silver in the earth versus gold and I think the ratio there is about 17 to one , I think silver is going to continue to gain on gold as this bull market continues to unfold , I think we have many many years left to go , I ultimately think that you will see a gold / silver ratio below 20 ,right now is more like about 35 , but when this bull market started I think the ratio was about 60 , now I have been buying silver for about ten years when I started buying it it was 5 dollars an ounce at the time gold was about 250 , 260 dollars an ounce both the precious metals have gone up , but silver has gone up more and if i am right and this bull market continues I expect silver to keep outperforming at my metals company I have been recommending people would have two third gold one third silver for long time obviously people that did that right now they might have fifty fifty because silver has gained on gold even though both metals have risen , and the reason that's happening is because Ben Bernanke is debasing the value of the dollar , r i fact central banks all around the world are too loose they are creating too much money and so people all around the world are buying gold and silver as a store of value and I think that that will continue ....

Bob Chapman Silver price will explode
Bob Chapman explains why the price of silver in the long term can only go up and what happens when the banks manipulating their short positions can no longer continue."the price of silver hits a new high everyday " says the International Forecaster Bob Chapman "gold and silver have been suppressed for years he explains since august of 1988 when the president of the United States signed an executive order saying that the FED and the treasury and the New York could manipulate the market and they have been doing that ever since and they picked on gold and silver , so gold and silver have been suppressed since then and this suppression is coming unglued sort to speak says Bob Chapman ,not only that but the government inherited a very large naked short position in silver , shorting means you gonna bet something is going to go down , naked means there is no collateralization in other words you do not have silver on hand to deliver if somebody demands it , this giant naked shorting position which manifested itself in JP Morgan Chase and HSBC they can't cover their shorts there is not enough silver for them to make delivery as well so they keep on creating derivative contracts options futures which are delaying the final problem and that is pushing the price up , right now JPM is off-site probably close to 60 billion dollars , HSBC probably 20 billion and that's a lot of money ....if we can get silver up to $50 , $60 /oz they are gonna have to default now when that happens it will affect the COMEX the LBMA in London the options the derivatives and as a result it will also anybody or any entity that is using those instruments to be in the market papee market as opposed to physical , if trading in paper stops the whole house comes tumbling down the result will be the end of paper market at least temporarily in silver perhaps in gold as well , silver price will explode as a result ....

Silver Short Squeeze and Backwardation explained
Silver backwardation and the makings for a short squeeze Silver price is treading water lots a catalyst that bubbling here we rebuilding in Japan -- in the futures market and -- haven buying. Joining me for the trade at the nymex it -- our trading Anthony it is the whole Clinton catalysts that should be pushing silver higher but they're not
because of extreme shortage people fear that they wont get hold of the physical in a future time. so they want it now. so the price today is higher than that of a future date. for example if a seller promises to deliver u physical in 2015 at § 20 an oz wouldn't u rather take delivery now paying a little extra knowing well that there wont be any silver in 2015? that's backwardation. JP Morgan won't take it's own ETFs as collateral

Silver has better dynamics than gold from an investment perspective
In This video silver investor David Morgan interviews Jim Pavlakos of Golden State Mint. Silver has better dynamics than gold from an investment perspective
David Morgan said in a recent interview :... There are more factors at work. At least two to three decades ago, there was an article that came out with the headline, "Silver is Gold's Poodle." I laugh, because that is really a metaphor for silver. If I ever wanted to increase my newsletter subscription, I should probably change my title to www.gold-investor.com. Silver has better dynamics than gold from an investment perspective, but fewer people are willing to invest in it. It's a smaller market and therefore more volatile. But the dynamics of silver are better, because it has every attribute of classical money that gold holds—that safe haven status—and it's better recognized as money on a global basis, not just a North American basis. On top of that, it has industrial demand, and most of those applications are price-inelastic, meaning demand will be there regardless of silver's price. So, long term, silver really does have a better investment profile than gold does.I'd say that more people are waking up to that fact, and I'll say it from empirical evidence as well.

Silver over $ 33 an ounce for the first time since 1980
Silver is back in the crosshairs of speculators, who have pushed its prices over $ 33 an ounce for the first time since March 1980 to a peak of $ 33.40 on the spot market in London. After the outstanding performance of 2010 - where silver had won more than 80%, one of the largest increases among the commodities - the metal had started the year in the name of weakness. But in February, it is on an appreciation trend .

Silver never been so high since 1980
The headlines are all for gold, but it was silver which actually made all the more striking performances.the price of silver is the highest ever seen for a little over 30 years earlier when the market was under the influence of speculative purchases of Hunt brothers.
At the end of last year it took 65 ounces of silver to buy one of gold, while yesterday 58 would be enough . It is a confirmation of what industry analysts say: going up by 48% in 2009 and over 38% in 2010 , silver shows how it is an advantage being a precious metal and a metal with significant industrial uses .
It should be noted that even in the downward trend in the past, the metal showed a speed exceeding that of gold. And it is worth noting that the industrial uses may become a disadvantage when the economy limps.
In the case of silver increases are the engines of the weakness of the dollar (the currency in which prices are expressed), the low interest rates and the increasing industrial demand, in a mix that in recent weeks has been shown to operate at full regime, but that may not last forever.
The 2010 budget for silver should see a world production of about 23 thousand tonnes, which will add 7 thousand tons of recycled material. The question is half the industry (electronics ), with significant demands for jewelry, coins and ETFs, securities traded like stocks, whose prices replicate the performance of the underlying metal.
The silver , has a feature that is often overlooked: it is usually extracted from the mines in which silver is only a sub product. It means that any slowdown in interest in the primary metal (whether it be copper or lead, gold or zinc) has a negative effect on the extraction of silver.
The same can of course be reversed. But in these situations the risk is considered negligible. Indeed, the situation underscores the interest in the mining sector

Silver Sky Rockets, Masses Begin To Dump Silver
Silver Sky Rockets, Masses Begin To Dump Silver , Keep your silver as long as you can, it is going up..up...up! Eagles are very desirable. I would say there is a three dollar spread between Eagles and rounds. I always buy my silver in Eagles and 90% US coin nothing else. And never over 1oz you can keep the larger quantities, they too often sell at discounts. One hundred ounce bars can be as weak as 90%. I would rather have 100 Eagles.

Silver is Trading like a Currency, Finally!
Over the past few days, silver has bucked the trend of falling ever time the stock market sells off. The price seems to be rising as economic fear grows, much like gold. This means that investors are increasingly seeing silver as a currency, not just an industrial commodity.

How to play the surge in Silver
Commodities are in rally mode, and silver is set to outperform all of them , cause silver is not only a cheap precious metal it is also an industrial metal , furthermore it is believed that Silver is on its way of extinction in a couple of decades if no major mines are discovered .

Gold and Silver prices skyrocket as Dollar Falls
Gold and Silver Market
By Jason Scott
June 4 (Bloomberg) -- Gold advanced, paring the biggest decline in almost two months yesterday, as a drop in the dollar increased demand for the metal as an alternative investment. Silver was little changed.
Bullion rose as much as 0.6 percent as a recovery in the currency stalled. The U.S. Dollar Index, a six-currency gauge of the greenback’s value, gained 1.4 percent yesterday, the biggest jump in more than four months. Gold typically moves in the opposite direction to the dollar.
“The U.S. dollar has just dropped a little bit today, but nothing too significant, and the Gold price has risen in reflection of that,” Jamie Spiteri, head dealer at Shaw Stockbroking Ltd. in Sydney, said by phone.
Gold for immediate delivery advanced 0.4 percent to $966.61 an ounce at 1:21 p.m. in Singapore, trading between $961.92 and $968.85. The metal declined 1.9 percent yesterday, the largest drop since April 6.
“I suspect that today it will hover at around that $965 level,” Spiteri said. “I can’t see it reaching $1,000 this week, but it’s not too far away,” he said.
Silver for immediate delivery was little changed at $15.3325 an ounce after tumbling 3.9 percent yesterday.
The U.S. Dollar Index fell as much as 0.3 percent to 79.288 today before trading at 79.534 by 1:01 p.m. in Singapore. The index gained 1.4 percent yesterday, the most since Jan. 20, after touching 78.334 on June 2, the lowest since Dec. 18.
